Liberal Democrat candidates won 11 seats on Mendip District Council in the local elections in May, including three seats previously held by Conservative councillors.

Helen works for Frome based charity Positive Action on Cancer as part of their fundraising team, is married with three children, and was the Mayor of Frome in 2010/11. I am extremely proud to be leading the Lib Dem group at Mendip and am looking forward to working with my fellow councillors in bringing some fresh ideas to the council chamber and the communities we serve”
