The last three weekends I have been out in Frome town centre, with other Lib Dem and Mendip European Movement campaigners, talking to people about the need for a People’s Vote on the Brexit deal with an option to remain in the EU. Others have been out in Somerton town centre. Theresa May’s draft Withdrawal Agreement comes to the Commons for a vote soon. I am campaigning for a public vote on the deal with an option to remain, because the draft deal is worse for the country than staying in the EU (even Brexiters agree), it is not what people voted for in 2016 (as it was not on the ballot paper), the 2016 vote was compromised by cheating and misleading claims, and it appears from many opinion polls that the ‘will of the people’ now appears to be to stay in the EU.

Last Sunday we were out at the Frome Independent market to talk to people, and distributed hundreds of window posters and stickers. See here for more!
