Somerset Councillor for Frome North (Lib Dem) Learn more
by adamboyden on 6 December, 2013
I live nearby and know many of the residents and community groups well. If elected to Town Council I will work hard to help to strengthen Frome’s economy, community facilities and conserve the local and global environment, and work for a fairer Frome by helping local people in need. Since 2011 I have worked hard to listen and respond to residents concerns, help people sort out problems and bring about positive changes to the area, as one of the Mendip District councillors for College ward. I have tried to make a difference at Mendip and help Frome Town and Mendip Councils work constructively. Over the last two and a half years I have tried to be as positive and proactive as possible, and to form good working relationships with everyone. I am working to help improve the Showfield, open spaces and playgrounds, leisure facilities, and local road safety. I helped the councils agree the monthly Sunday Super Market, which has been great, including by insisting local people were consulted on the original flawed plans. I challenged Mendip’s Conservatives on cuts to recycling and increases in flytipping, but also successfully steered a cross-party motion on fracking at Mendip to protect our environment. My record of action can be found at www.adamboyden.mycouncillor.org.uk. I contact residents regularly and encourage people to take part in town activities. My fight is not against any other candidate, it is for our area and everyone who lives there.
Thank you,
Adam Boyden
