Vote tomorrow Wednesday 18th December for your new Frome Town Councillor

by adamboyden on 17 December, 2013

My Promise To You

–          I will work hard to listen to you, respond to you, inform you and involve you in council work however I can.

–          I love Frome and will work hard to help Frome Town Council support our local economy and community facilities, conserve our environment, help people in need, (both young and old!) and give good value for money.

–          I will keep on putting what is right and what is best for Frome above party politics.

Please give me your support tomorrow by dropping into the Polling Station at the Cricket Club on the old Showfield, Rodden Road, between 7am and 10pm. If you have a postal vote simply take that with you.

My message to you:

I’ve been overwhelmed by the amazing support you’ve all shown me in the campaign to be elected as your next Town Councillor in the Frome College Ward by-election on Wednesday.  Thank you to everybody who has expressed their support or raised issues for me to deal with. I promise to get back to you all personally on the issues you have raised, including about road safety, the Showfield and other open spaces, flytipping, litter and dog mess, lighting, footpaths, and our local services and facilities, about how we can improve things further.

I care passionately about Frome, and love its sense of community and positivity. In both my work and council life I consult local residents about local issues, and try and ensure our councils are responsive and make properly informed decisions.

If you elect me to Frome Town Council I promise to work hard in ‘Team Frome’ to improve this area further, and help the Council to strengthen Frome’s economy and community facilities, conserve the environment, and work for a Fair Frome by helping people in need.

I want to make our councils work better together, and will be as positive and proactive as possible. I will put taking action on local issues over and above party politics – as people that know me already know.  Last year I was pleased to help our councils agree the monthly Sunday Super Market, which has been great, including by insisting local people were consulted on original flawed plans. I challenge Mendip’s Conservatives where necessary, including on cuts to recycling and to tackle the resulting increases in flytipping, but I worked with them to successfully steer a cross-party motion on fracking at Mendip, to protect our environment. I also got new carton recycling facilities installed in Frome.  My record of action can be found at www.adamboyden.mycouncillor.org.uk and you can contact me any time with problems to solve.

My fight is not against any other candidate, it is for our area and everyone who lives there.

If elected to Town Council on December 18th, I promise to represent you as best I can in Frome and to get stuck in to try and solve problems and improve the area.

Thanks.
